Not only that, from now on mobile operators will not be able to give more than three promotional SMS per day to a customer.
BTRC announced new data guidelines on September 17 of the year to make mobile internet affordable and reduce the number of packages. In that directive, effective from October 15, the number of packages was reduced from 85 to 40 in these three periods of 7, 30 and unlimited.
It is said that if the customer buys the package again before the end of the 7 or 30 days period of the same volume, the unused data will be added to the new package. But the maximum limit was up to 50 GB. Recently this guideline has been revised again by BTRC. Where the limit of 50 GB has been raised to unlimited in the case of data carry forward.
In this regard, Director General (Systems and Services) of BTRC Brigadier General Mohammad Khalil-ur-Rehman said that there was a limit of 50 GB in the case of data carry forward which has been removed. If you buy the same package that has the amount of data, the remaining data will be forwarded.
Meanwhile, the number of promotional SMS has also been reduced. Earlier mobile operators could give a maximum of 4 SMS per day to the customer. But from now you can give maximum 3.
Currently, about 120 million people use mobile internet in the country.
